Karel Komárek
Chairman of the Board of Directors

He was born in 1969 and started to engage in business in 1990. He focuses primarily on its long-term and strategic development, sets its investment strategy in each key area of interest, decides on the expansion and investments and participates in concluding long-term partnerships, primarily with foreign investors and business partners. He initiated a number of joint ventures with major international and supranational companies, especially in the oil and gas business. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of the parent company, KKCG SE.



Helmut Langanger
Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors

Born in 1950. After graduation he joined the company OMV Exploration & Production, where he was successfully active from 1974. During his career in this company he built an international team of leading geologists, engineers, lawyers and financial experts who helped to build up OMV E&P to one of the most important companies of OMV Group. Under his leadership OMV E&P discovered 25 extensive deposits of oil and natural gas in the world, among others in Pakistan, Libya, Romania, Tunisia, Great Britain or Sudan. Since 1989, when he joined the management of OMV E&P, the production of oil and natural gas grew from 35,000 barrels boe/ day to 320,000 barrels boe/day in 2009. He halted the decline in oil production in Romania and managed to increase 2P reserves from 300 million boe in the year 1989 to 1.9 billion boe in the year 2009. Since 2002, Helmut Langanger has served as CEO OMV E&P and member of the Board of Directors of the parent company OMV. He is married and has two children.



Miroslav Jestřabík
Member of the Board of Directors

Born in 1966, he graduated in automated control systems from the Slovak University of Technology, Bratislava. Since 1998, he has held senior management positions throughout the KKCG group. From 1998 to 2000, he was International Projects Director at SPP Bohemia a.s., and between 2001 and 2006 was the company’s Chief Executive Officer. In 1999 and 2000 he was the Chief Executive Officer of Moravské naftové doly a.s. and since 2001 had been the Chairman of this company’s Board of Directors. Since May 2010 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of MND a.s.



Bernhard Cociancig
CEO International

Born in 1951. After studies in Leoben, Mr. Cociancig gained valuable experience in the field of oil exploration and production working on series of projects in Europe, Asia, Africa, Canada or the Middle East. He is a renowned expert in the area of implementation and managing of global oil projects, with more than 25 years of world-wide professional experience acting as a top manager for oil exploration and production activities. During his profession career he has worked for global companies as e.g. OMV, Viking Petroleum, Mobil Oil or Addax Petroleum. Since May 2011, Mr. Cociancig acts as the CEO International within the MND group. He will be responsible for managing all exploration and production projects of the MND group outside Czech Republic, and in addition he will focus on scouting for new investment opportunities.




Zbyněk Parma
Director

Born in 1969, he is a graduate of the Mining University of Ostrava, where he majored in mining geology and exploration geology, and also attended interdisciplinary studies of deep drilling engineering and technology. On completing his studies in 1992, he joined Moravské naftové doly, a.s. (MND) as a labourer responsible for underground well workovers. In 1994 he became an underground workover and well designer, and in 1998 he was named head underground workover operator. When the construction of the underground gas storage facility in Uhřice was launched, he joined the project as facility manager and remained here for three years. In 2003, he was appointed as the Director of MND Drilling & Services a.s. Since May 2010, he has been the Director of MND a.s. and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of MND Drilling & Services a.s.
