Occupational health and safety is an integral part of all the activities of Moravské naftové doly, a.s. The company management strives to continually improve the level of occupational health and safety together with awareness of the employees’ responsibility for the protection of their health in cooperation with the company’s mana­gement in fulfilling the stipulated objectives. The objective is to create safe work conditions in the work environment while ensuring environmental protection, assuring the optimal balance between economic and business interests on the one hand and the health of company employees and their families on the other. The fulfilment of these stipulated objectives has been successful in the long term because of the introduction of modern technologies, measuring and regulation techniques into the operation of hydrocarbon production and the systematic control of fulfilment of the stipulated safety guidelines, including the elimination of found shortcomings.

“Gold Permon” award for security in mining. The Gold Permon award for 2006 was presented to the company Moravské naftové doly, a.s., and it is the fourth consecutive time that the company has won this award."

The results in occupational health and safety in mining are evaluated annually by the Czech Mining Authority. The award is conferred and granted as an expression of praise for the achievement of excellent results in the area of work safety by the Czech Mining Authority, Trade Union of workers in Mining, Geology and Oil Industry and the Trade Union Stavba České republiky.
