Activities in Russian Federation

As part of its expansion strategy, «Moravské naftové doly a.s.» has opened a branch in Moscow, RF. The main activity of the branch is to collect information and to review and assess proposals for the acquisition of mineral deposits, hydrocarbons in particular, in the Russian Federation for the purpose of determining the prospects of the participation of MND a.s. in the execution of individual projects. As part of activities conducted until now, the branch staff has assessed more than 200 proposals for investment projects in the Russian Federation.

The MND a.s. branch also indirectly participates in the management and operation of three corporations in the Ulyanov Region (VostokInvestNěft Ltd., Nikolaevkaněft Ltd. and Novospasskněft Ltd.) and three corporations in the Tyumensk Region (JugraPromStroj Ltd., JugraNafta Ltd., and Geotěchproyekt Ltd.), which are majority owned by MND a.s. Branch employees are specialists from both the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation who posses extensive work experience.
